Tangle Patterns Mega Pack App Reviews

If youre on a device that doesnt have Internet access, this app might not be for you. Each pattern is linked to their step-out online. So without Internet access, all you have is a picture to reference. But this isnt what bothers me about paying $4.99 for this app. What bothers me is that is hasnt been updated since it was released in Oct. 14. Not one single pattern has been added since Oct. 14. In the Zentangle community patterns are being added everyday, but even if they werent, at the point when this app was released there were OVER 700 patterns cataloged on a great site called Tanglepatterns (which also only links to step-outs). So needless to say, the developers of this app had a lot of catching up to do, but are doing a poor job of it. I would only suggest this app to someone who is an absolute beginner, but I would do it with great hesitation, because I dont think one should pay $4.99 for an app theyll outgrow it in a month or two. This wouldnt be the case if the developers would take some time to add a few new tangles every month or so.

Many of these are poorly drawn and the step-by-step is often not clear. Most of the patterns I have seen before or are uninteresting. Oh well. There goes 5 bucks.

I am very happy to have many tangles clearly presented and then just two clicks away, the how to do. I also had a technical question and received excellent turn around on all my communications. Thank you for a well layer out product, excellent service and the fun the tangles are bringing!

I really love this app especially when I am on the fly and want a portable reference I love the step-by-step instructions. I am wondering if there will be new patterns added? I really dont want to have to purchase a book or another app And hope new patterns are added to this app!

It has got many creative concepts. I loved to learn these versatile patterns. A good online coach. Worthy of 5 dollars. Pleased to have it.

This is a great app to grab a bit of inspiration with your Tangles. I love that I have the steps right on my phone for use it on the go. Would be 5 Stars if I could use the favorites.

Its a good app and it helps with inspiration blocks. In the app title though, it says that there are 251 patterns although I only have about 100 shown on the app. I might me missing something but if Im not I want my money back.

This is a wonderful app! Love its simplicity. Love love love the randomizer! Im thrilled to have a tangle library always in my purse or pocket! Only one thing I can think of that would make it better--categories--official, round, linear, grid, etc. and the ability to randomize within each category. Even customizable categories! And filters! And a way to add my own tangles with thumbnail and step out images. But still in love with this app!

This is the BEST tangle patterns app ever! Lots of tangles, no hidden fees. I love it!!!

This is the best tangle app, I love how its setup. I gave it four stars because I really wish I could add more tangles and make it my tangle library. Theres an app that I can do that with, but the setup isnt nearly as nice.

I love this app! I have purchased 3 zentangle books so I could find new patterns and this is just as good if not better...the patterns are awesome and so are the steps for each one. I would recommend this to anyone looking for patterns.

Good for tangling on the go. I benefit from looking at the designs for ideas.

I really enjoy having this app on my phone. I used to play solitaire or another game if I had 5-10 minutes during the day to take a little break, but zentangles are better-- beautiful and soothing. And the app is lovely to use.

Its wonderful to have tangles so handy on my phone, and the steps are really helpful. I wish there were more original tangles, because some of these definitely arent tangles, just patterns, but thats really my only complaint. Keep adding more!

Whether youre a seasoned artist in Zentangle or just starting, this is such a valuable resource. Its fun to see the preview, great how it is arranged alphabetically, and the most important part: it has incredibly great tangles. I refer to it when wanting to learn something new or needing a refresher of something I havent drawn for awhile. WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT!!! So glad I got this app!

It is nice to have all of the tangle patterns in one place. I hope the makers consider expanding to include more tangles in the future or adds shading options. It seems like this app was really designed for the phone. when you use it on the iPad, the resolution isnt so great and the images arent as sharp as they should be for that display. Still a nice resource.
